OMAHA, NE -- The Nebraska Log Cabin Republicans today announced its formation as the only
chapter in Nebraska dedicated to bringing more members of the LGBTQ community to the
conservative movement and making sure their voices are heard in the Republican Party.
Chairman Tim Davis stated: “I am proud to serve as the inaugural chairman for Nebraska’s first
Log Cabin Republican chapter. I am excited to welcome all members of the LGBTQ community
and their straight allies as we help to build a more inclusive party.”
“I am excited by the work Tim and others are doing to ensure that there is a concerted effort to
help us create a big tent party here in Omaha,” said Theresa Thibodeau, Chairwoman of the
Douglas County Republican Party. “I look forward to seeing them contribute to the policy
discussion and help us grow our party.”
